After completing GP training in Carlisle I married Anne and we worked in the same practice in Darlington for 30 years. We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
I became an examiner for the RCGP and was awarded my FRCGP. Towards the end of my career I became involved in GP management with the PCT in Durham.
We retired to the Lake District in 2012 and live near Ullswater.
Inspite of a haemorrhagic stroke in 2016 we still enjoy travelling to see family in New Zealand, holidays in Achiltibuie and regular wheelchair walks in the wonderful surrounding local scenery. We are fortunate to have some of the family near.
