My professional life was pretty uneventful… after vocational training locally, I spent 32 years in the same practice in Wakefield! I was the lead on women’s health & contraception, was Clinical Assistant in GU Medicine for several years and also did sessions at the local women’s prison.
My petite and pretty daughter is a Detective Inspector with the Metropolitan Police, as well as coaching with GB Women’s Boxing and various London clubs! My son is a computer expert and a part-time actor in Manchester. So far, I have a 12 year old step-granddaughter and 2 grand-kittens!
The best thing I ever did was to join our local sub-aqua club with my then teenage son…we had some great times in the UK and abroad…. and finally I married our instructor! Sadly our diving days are now over, and replaced by walking and cycling. Now we spend most of our holidays based in our trailer tent.
I have several roles in our village community library. Although I hated computers at work, I now do all the posters, publicity, tickets etc as well as keep our website and Facebook page up to date. I have been trying to learn Spanish for years, and also make jams, pickles, ferments, granola and sourdough in my spare time.
