I think that I am the last idiot working, it’s like a routine that is hard to give up, seeing people and giving them new hips and knees. I still enjoy it and have reworked life to allow for lots of travel as well as work. I had no idea of what my career was going to be. when I left the UK, and most of it was by chance, not planning. A trans Atlantic phone call got me to Canada from London! It turned out great, I live in Halifax on the east coast, lovely summers, terrible winters, nice people, great for rearing family. It’s all changing now, massive immigration, poor government, all the tensions that go with it, but I can hide in the garden! Health care is slowly disintegrating, but I do my bit and stay sane.
