The Class of 75 Reunion

1975-2025 The Golden One

Mike Hewitt

First a shout out to Anne, Rell, and Dick for putting together this 50th it’s a lot of work! Can’t believe it’s been that long. It’s amazing how far we’ve come looking at the original pictures how fresh face we were. We were totally deer in the headlights in the beginning and I remember one of the lecturers telling us how we would never amount to anything(wrong) and how most of us would feel like quitting – that much was true. What a class we’ve turned out to be a few Knights of the realm. People that have been Head of this and that; pioneers in their fields, as well as those who kept the NHS going as GP‘s, the unsung heroes.
Myself, after a horrific house year, I eventually ended up in London, where I wound up as a Reg in Medicine at King’s but decided to go to the colonies, first Canada, then California (warmer). Here I met Pamela (a drug pusher) otherwise called a drug rep, and now am partly retired as of 2023. I still go to a small clinic in the stix from time to time in Canada as a Consultant.
Keith (Ions) who worked as a consultant at the Cumberland infirmary where I had my horrific house job won’t tell me where Mr. Lyons is buried because he’s afraid that I will go to his grave and baptize it irreverently, which of course is true.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in July!
